Welcome to Kindergarten! I'm so excited to meet you and your precious little ones.
As I am fortunate enough to get to know your children, I'd like to take this time to introduce myself. I have been able to call New Brighton School home since its opening in 2016, aside from last year as I was on maternity leave. This year marks my 12th year with the CBE.
I love everything about teaching kindergarten. There is nothing I enjoy more then the relationships I build with my students. This year will be hard for me as I won't be able to spend much time interacting with my previous students due to cohorting. I teach primarily through singing, movement, art and stories. I can find a book to go with any idea, theme or question.
I spend my free time with my young family, biking, exploring, gardening, hanging out at the beach and watching movies. My son Ben is 5 and is also starting kindergarten this year. He and I spent as much time as we could on the ice last winter learning to skate. My daughter Brooklyn just turned a year. She is a fiery and sweet little girl who keeps us laughing everyday. We also have an 11 year old mini dachshund who is a whole lot of personality.
