We had fun sharing in our community circle today.  Each student has the choice to share something from their weekend or to pass this time around.  We have been working on attentive listening when our friends share.  As students spend more time in kindergarten we will work towards feeling more comfortable sharing our ideas and experiences with peers.

We learned about the letter Ii. We did some air writing with our fingers, practiced in our books, sang a song and acted out a story about a mouse named Inky.

We began a bit of math with our pumpkins today. We counted them and noticed their shape and size.  The AM class ordered them from biggest to smallest and the PM class made a pattern.

Halloween Math Challenge- Go for a walk and count all the pumpkins you see!

Center fun! I'm seeing and hearing lots of great developing math at the Cafe.  Today I was sold a latte for $10.00 (prices sure have increased).  The cashier counted out my money one by one.  Centres also provide an opportunity for problem solving and team work!

Check the backpack for some adorable photos of your children :)
