Your children may be coming home a little messy today but they sure had fun!

We started our morning with some string art, exploring lines and than using A LOT of glue to make a fun string art creation in their books.  I really got to know who enjoyed getting messy and who does not.

We went on a line hunt outside and found lots of different and unique lines at the park.  We tried to create them with chalk!

We also noticed some lines in the sky!

We made some line art with scissors, glue and coloured paper and still had lots of time for centers!

Our fabulous Top Banana was Natalie

Speaking of Top Banana. . .

In the coming weeks, we will start our second rotation of Top Banana. This is an opportunity for your child to be the classroom special helper as well as show and tell presenter!

In Kindergarten, students have been getting to know others. We are exploring how individual characteristics, talents and interests make us unique. Our Rock Star is invited to share one item from home that represents a favourite activity, interest or hobby.

Some ideas include a photo of:

  • an art piece made by your child

  • favourite book

  • lego creation or favourite toy

  • ballet shoes, hockey puck, soccer ball, skipping rope etc.

  • photo of your child doing their favourite activity or hobby

Please take a picture of this item and submit it in our Google

Classroom under the Top Banana folder.
