Today we read, What does PEACE feel like.  It is a book written by children and using senses to explore peace.

Peace feels like

  • My mom and me cuddling in her bed
  • My dog
  • A bath
  • Being on the swings
  • Being alone
  • Playing with my brother
  • Cuddling with your mom and dad
  • Hugging my mom and dad
  • Feeling loved
  • Playing with my little sister on the swing
  • When you play family with your mom and dad
  • Going outside with my family
  • Playing with my lego
  • Sitting on the couch
  • Going to the park with your sister

Peace sounds like

  • The beach

Peace looks like

  • Me and my sister playing
  • My parents get married
  • When I was a new baby born
  • A cat and dog curled up on a couch
  • When the cat is playing with it's ball of yarn
  • Baby cats sleeping in a basket

Peace tastes like

  • Warm pizza

Peace smells like
  • Warm cookies baking
  • Smelling a yummy good flower on the grass
  • Smelling the outside air
  • The smell in the mountains
We each completed a journal page on what peace feels/looks/tastes or smells like.

The day started out with some math sorting and patterning with our coloured pumpkin seeds.  We also had some free time to create.

AM students experienced their first fire drill and did a fabulous job! They were silent, serious and safe and I was super proud of them!

School apparel orders are due by Friday of this week.  You don't want to miss out on that fun school spirit! Check the school webpage to order.
