Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, Welcome 2021 . . .

Wishing all my students and their wonderful families a restful, safe, healthy and magical holiday.  Thank you for all the kind words and wonderful treats shared with me.  I am so thankful to be in the classroom with these little people everyday.  They are full of life, energy, intelligence, inspiration and love.

I have some Blog Catching up to do

This week we said goodbye to Mr. Fraser.  He has been such a gift to our classroom.  I'm thrilled there are teachers like Mr. Fraser coming into the profession to teach our children.  We made him a gift to remember us and all signed a book.

He sent me the following message

"Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to learn and grow with your children. I feel absolutely blessed to be welcomed into such an amazing classroom. Your children have opened my eyes and heart to teaching in the elementary setting. I will surely miss every single one of your kids as they have left an imprint on my journey through teaching!"

We celebrated a couple of Holiday Birthdays!

We played some letter BINGO, worked on our fine motor skills with glue and tissue paper, did some carolling and dancing and explored the iPads and Raz-kids.

And my other half (Mrs. Hellyer) and I, had way to much fun getting into the holiday spirit!

Updates/Google Classroom and Online Learning

  • I have posted a new Top Banana on Google Classroom about family traditions. If your child has not yet shared their name Top Banana, they will in the new year.
  • There is a new weekly workout posted our Google Classroom

You should have received an email from me through school messenger on Thursday with all the details  about our short week of online learning. Please double check that you have received it.  In the understandable event that your child will be unable to make it to our Daily Meeting and Lesson, please email me as well as call in the absence to the attendance line. I understand the challenges around childcare, work and technology.

The assignments will be live in my Google Classroom.  Please do not have your child complete the daily assignment until after I have taught it on the lesson :)
For Example,

Tuesday Jan 5, 2021- My online lesson is teaching the letter Mm.  Students should not complete the lesson until I have taught it!

If your child is unable to attend online, the classwork will be available in Google Classroom for all.

If you need me, I will periodically be checking my email over the holidays.  I will be available the day of  Monday Jan 4 (No school/PD Day) to answer any questions.
