Important Information
* Our online reading program Raz-Kids is all set up and ready to go. Check the backpack for your child's account information and password. I love this program because it provides levelled books BUT this is intended as an extra resource, not something to take the place of that nightly reading you already do! Make this work for your family, my suggestion is 30 minutes spread out through the week.
* December 10 is our Kindergarten Winter Celebration and all kindergarten kids will come to school. This will be a PJ Day. We will be watching the Polar Express, fun games, crafts and outside time. We have a special Healthy Hunger just for kindergarten students, you can purchase a fun cookie snack for your child to eat during the movie. * The next round of Top Banana has been added to the Google Classroom, it is about Family Traditions. We have not made it through this round yet so your child may still have a turn coming. Top Banana will continue all year so your child will get several opportunities. I am still waiting on a couple submissions from the current show and share round. Check Google Classroom! (the optional Weekly Workout can also be found here)
* December 1 is Orange Shirt Day. Please wear your orange shirt as we introduce the sacred teaching of Humility
* Time to solidify those letters! We are always exploring all of the letters, however, we have focused on 1-2 a week. We now want to make sure we know them very well so that we can start to use them in our reading and writing. Spend some time practicing the letter/sound/printing and words that begin with the letter. At this time of the year, children should be able to print their names, find their name and identify the letters in their own name
