How we are all collectively feeling about the school conference system
This is unfortunately a system wide issue that we are all experiencing.  I know they are frantically trying to remedy the problem and coming up with a potential backup.  I promise you will know the same time we all know.
When it is working, you will will have a choice of in person or online conference.  This is especially helpful if you are like me and not able to make any or many of the times work. My son's conferences land on the exact same time as ours.  Being on time and only using the 15 minutes (which I have a VERY hard time with) will be very important as I will have at least 45 conferences to attend :) I might have to use a timer.

Today's weather was the perfect time for me to encourage independence in my classroom.  I showed students how to deal with tricky zippers and pulled through sleeves.  I have one huge request, if you are putting on their outdoor clothing and shoes for them please, please, please stop and instead support them to do that independently. Today's weather is a reminder that winter clothing and boots are not too far away and students need to develop the skills, confidence and independence to get themselves ready.

Today we had a community circle where we shared something about our weekend as well as the first letter of our names in preparation for our learning job.
Here is our learning job, full of fine motor and following instruction skills.

I have been telling the students that once I can trust them to take care of the big centers I would open them and today was that day! WE OPENED THE BIG CENTERS! So fun!
