Happy Wednesday! Today was Pink Shirt Day and we talked all about kindness and what it means to be a kind Kinder. We read the book When We Are Kind and paused to think about and share times that we are kind to our family, friends, neighbours, and ourselves. Some of the ideas that we came up with include taking care of classroom materials, sharing our toys, helping out our family, and waiting our turn.
In our Visual Journals we created Pink Shirt Art where we used sponges to paint a background, decorated a pink shirt, and completed the sentence “I am kind when…”. Ask your child to share one way that they will spread kindness.
