Way to go kindergarten, we all learned so much and made it through a great week! They have all demonstrated just how amazing they are at learning how to be a kindergarten student while also physical distancing, washing/sanitizing hands and wearing masks! They deserve this long weekend.
We got our hands in some playdough today. First we had some free time just to play and I saw lots of fun creations, waffles, donuts, worms, seashell, snakes, a princess, volcano, a unicorn trap and a cucumber to name a few! Students then used the playdough to create the first letter of their name. We took this idea outside for a much needed mask break and found loose parts in nature to create letters and then had some fun with free play on this beautiful day.
We brought home our first art piece! This art gave us fine motor and name practice. Find some materials at home to use to make names :)
Some new centers came out today, what fun!
Friendly reminder about the daily screening questionnaire, thank you for helping to keep us all safe and health!

A few important reminders from the Principals message:
- The school will not be supplying utensil for student’s lunches. If you child needs a spoon or a fork to eat their lunch please pack one in the lunch kit.
- A reminder that dogs are not permitted on school grounds
- Students will be spending there PE classes and recess breaks outside and are required to have appropriate footwear to participate safely. Sandals and flip flips, although weather appropriate are not suited for physical activity.
- The new creative Playground is off limits to the public during school hours. Our students will be using it during the day and we cannot have members of the public using it at the same time for safety risks.
- Label everything. We do not have a lost and found this year so if objects are labeled it will make its way back to your child
- Morning drop and go: since we have had such a successful start to our year we would like to remind all parents that the mornings are drop and go. Once your child is safely with our class we would kindly ask for parents to back up to the fence to maintain social distancing and keeping all the kids in our school safe as they walk into the school. We will continue to be one of the last classes into the school so aiming for close to 8:05 should work!
