The excitement around the simple things was a lot of fun today with the AM class. I hope you all get to enjoy the simple things this cold weekend.
This snowplow/bobcat was a highlight.
We were also intrigued by the Calgary Weather Network
During morning message we played, Is it a Sentence? We found and circled letters and had a lot of fun answering the question of the day, What are some fun things to do inside this cold weekend?
- Build the tallest tower you can out of cups and containers
- Build a fort
- Build a city out of lego
- Have a video game marathon
- Raz-kids
- Have a family sleep over
- Movie night
- Build a robot
- Create with stuffed animals, build them a home
- Colouring pages with stickers
- Make and write Valentine's for family and mail them
- Make up a dance and practice it 100 times :)
- Play a board game
- Make pancakes
- Read all the books, create your own storybook
We played, Heart Roll and Colour, and they loved it and I loved all of the spontaneous math language I overheard. Partners worked well together, helping and supporting one another using kind words. This game is in our weekly work out (or you could draw it) if you would like to play at home.
Some fun colour mixing in our visual journals.
Here is a peak at the School wide Love Month display
