Photo retakes came in this afternoon. PM will be bringing them home today and AM tomorrow. These were taken when I was away and they were taken if the student said they needed a retake, which turned into about half the class getting a retake :)
WARM FEET FOR THE STREET! A note is coming home with all of the information. This is a favourite New Brighton School tradition of mine. I love taking my children with me to Shoppers, Walmart or The Dollarstore and we shop together. It's a wonderful opportunity to promote giving to others and supporting those in need, if it makes sense for your family. We are starting accepting donations ASAP.
Today we talked more about our sacred teaching of Humility and the Wolf. The wolf is not selfish and looks out for the good of it's pack (or community). We read the story, How Full Is Your Bucket and then we spent some time giving compliments to our classmates. Everyone became a bucket filler. We then completed a journal about compliments. We are working on drawing pictures with pencil first, including the ground, body parts, and colouring using appropriate colours. We even started recording some letters to represent our ideas!
