It has begun! Our special helper of the day is called The Top Banana. Each student will get a chance to be the Top Banana multiple times this year and I will be asking for your support with this in the next rounds. The first round is completed in the classroom by asking the Top Banana questions (a great way to build early literacy and numeracy skills). The second round (which will begin in October or November) will be on a topic or theme and will need a photo to be uploaded online. Don't worry, I'll give you the information when you need it!

We were taught about the proper pencil grip and practiced with our pre-printing activity, drawing trees.
Tomorrow the AM class will have their first Fire Drill. I will speak to the students before this happens so they are not surprised by it. We will also be practicing a lockdown on Thursday morning. Again, I will let them know that this is coming and support them through it. There will be no surprises.
Friendly Reminders
- Please label everything including sweaters and hoodies. A sharpie marker can save you a lot of money in lost items
- AM class has a severe egg and nut allergy, please be mindful when packing snacks
- We are a nut aware school
- AM students will participate in the Terry Fox Run on Thursday and PM will participate on Friday
- We are collecting Toonies for Terry!
