AM students are coming home with Home Reading books. How very exciting to be starting this reading journey. There is an instruction sheet in the bag. Please take some time to read through this. I'm hoping to have PM books ready to go home tomorrow.
New set of marks can be found in your child's Powerschool account. This is the third set of marks.
Today students were read the fairy tale, Little Red. They were asked to complete a journal about the book. They were given some reminders about journal expectations but with a lot of choice. I was SO happy to see how well they did. Their pictures are telling a story with lots of added details and many students are using their known letters and sounds to write!
Can you believe we’re already preparing for Valentine’s Day?!? We will be celebrating and having some fun on Feb 14.
So, what do you need to know?
- On Feb 14 come dressed in Valentine’s Day Colours (red, pink, purple, white, love/heart themed etc)
- If you choose to participate we will be distributing Valentine’s Day cards during class time.
- Students can distribute Valentine's Day cards. If you choose to participate, please make sure to send 22 cards so that everyone gets one.
- Please do not address them to individual students, instead,
