Happy Monday! Today we learned all about the letter Ff. We had fun pretending that we were at the beach with our inflatable fish. Ask your child what sound the letter Ff makes.

We also have a new centre in our classroom, how exciting! Some friends got to try it out today and had so much fun making hot chocolate and ice fishing. It was also a valuable lesson about waiting for a turn.  Ms. Russell has 2 containers, one for students who have had a turn and another for those who are still waiting for a turn.  Everyone will get a turn before someone gets a second turn. Lots of tricky, yet valuable learning here.

Today in PE we continued learning about ringette. We have been working hard practicing our skills. It was so much fun playing games and trying to shoot the ring into the net.

Have a great night, see you tomorrow!

Ms. Russell

I (Mrs. Hughes) was in and out of the classroom today conducting the Reading Readiness Screening Tool (RRST) an assessment new this year and being implemented by all Kindergarten teachers in the CBE.  Mrs. Wolf was supporting my classroom for part of the day while I worked one-on-one with students. We have many staff that my students spend time with from PE, music, student teachers and guest teachers. We have needed to have some reminders about how we treat all staff in the school.  We respect all teachers by listening to instructions, trying our best and using kind voices.  Please have this conversation at home with your child as well please.
