Today we read, Love from the Crayons, and shared some of the many things that we love. We completed three sentences in our journal with the sentence starter I love… Students were working hard to use their letter sounds when sounding out words.
We were also visited by our new Assistant Principal Mrs. Barr today. She shared a story with us called, Sometimes I Feel Like a Fox, which included totem animals in Anishinaabe culture. Ask your child what animal they feel like most. Maybe a bear because they are brave, a beaver because they are determined, or a fox because they are clever.
We continue to represent numbers to 10 in different ways.
Pick a number from 1-10 and ask your child how many different ways they can represent it.
