Thank you for sharing all of your wonderful family traditions.  I have loved hearing about bread baking, pancake Sunday, camping in the summers, gingerbread house decorating, special songs
and visiting grandparents.  I still have about 4-5 missing out of each class.  

The AM class completed a journal with inspiration from The Mitten.  They each came up with an animal to crawl into the mitten.  They are working so hard trying sound out the letters and letter sounds in their writing! Let's celebrate their growth! 

The PM class had to catch up on the, Draw Your Teacher contest.  Well, I'm impressed (and perhaps a little scared at how they view me)! Here comes a whole lot of Mrs. Hughes :)

Reminders from kindergarten! 

* This year Valentine's Day will be kept in house. Student's will not be bringing in any cards or treats.  Please do not send these to school with your child.  I promise we will celebrate in class :) 

* Friday is a PD day.  No students 

* Check the February calendar now.  It's a wonky month. 

* We do not go outdoors when it is colder -20 BUT that means that we could and likely will be outside when it is -19 so please please please ensure that students come dressed for the weather! Mittens/gloves and hats/toques are a must!
